In my previous article I wrote about the BETA thing all over. So now I started seeing more of Beta. I will call it as Beta Revolution. Recently I saw Yahoo! Mail Beta and Live Mail Beta. Both of them are more like Microsoft Outlook environment. Blogger is already there into Beta as Beta Blogger for a long time now.
The new features of Yahoo! Mail Beta and Live Mail Beta include calendar integration, drag and drop e-mail organization, message preview and an integrated RSS reader. Other features: map viewing of events, spam and virus protection, e-mail search of headers, bodies and attachments, tabbed e-mail messages viewing and navigation, keyboard shortcuts and right-click menus, and address auto-complete. And overall 2GB storage space.
For your surprise, there is whole bunch of
Live Betas and Yahoo! Betas which anyone can try. Some of them really have cool features. But you will have to do some Googling..
In one way, these Betas are good as they give users an opportunity to seek for improvement which he/she is going to use in near future as a released version and hence give developers opportunity to keep their products up-to-date always by providing more and more features time by time.
Let us see in how much time this BETA Revolution will be over and there will be released version of all the applications available as Beta today.
