In continuation to my previous post, here goes the second post of this series -

HOW TO BLOG?
You will already know what are the famous blogging platforms available these days. Two most popular and free blogging platforms are Blogger (Blogspot) and WordPress. But some others like LiveJournal, Movable Type, Myspace, Typepad and comparatively new Vox are also there. All of them have their own lovers based on their personal priorities and likleness.
So first of all you have to decide which platform you like most and will provide you the facilities you need. Not all of them are free. So that also can be a deciding factor.
Facilities like team blog, modifiability of templates, kind of layout, ease of navigation and if they allow third party widgets in it. So there are couple of factors on which you can decide which platform to use. That is entirely your own choice.
I personally recommand Blogger and WordPress because of their popularity and ease of compatibility with other things like Facebook and all. And they are free too.
CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON BLOGGER OR WORDPRESS:
  • Start by creating an account on Blogger or WordPress or Vox or whatever you liked. For blogger you can use your Gmail id.
  • Give your blog a title.
  • Select an address your visitors will find your blog at. Generally that address will be yourchoice.blogspot.com or yourchoice.wordpress.com or yourchoice.vox.com and so on and so forth.
  • Fill in some details about your blog.
  • Write your first post.
  • Visit your own blog and have fun. Your first blog and first post is created.
