Google Transit, the public transit feature previously available only as a Google Labs feature is now completely integrated into Google Maps. Driving directions will be the default setting for Google Maps but a new option called “Take Public Transit” will help users plan their trip via public transportation in select areas.

What all cities are covered as of today you can find out here.

For a quick reference Google transit is available in California, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington, Florida, Hawaii and Minnesota. I am slightly upset because it is still not available in New York where I think it will be very beneficial. But lets wait some more time. Till then check out a sample trip plan.

The other product which recently graduated from Google lab is the Google Reader. Google reader allows user to subscribe feeds and read them in a browser window. Recently offline reading feature was also added so that even if you are not connected to internet, you can read your feeds. Read Official Google Reader Blog for more information.
