  • Whole new look with some great new skins and emoticons.
  • New Look for the contact list.
  • Larger avatar image option availability.
  • Flickr photo integration for quick photo sharing
  • A new in-line media player to play videos from Youtube and all without any extra plug-in and download.
  • Couple of new voice-mail options like forwarding your voice mail to your mobile or any other number for free even if you are signed out of Yahoo! Messenger.
  • Easier to call, text or IM contacts by simply hovering over the contact name and clicking.
  • Send a text message to someone’s phone using your computer keyboard.
  • Increased file sharing limit to 2GB.
  • It will be available in 6 localized markets in their native languages : Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India and Vietnam, making it to be available in 25 international markets.

Yahoo! messenger team is also working on providing a Yahoo! messenger for Vista. So basically, lot new features are expected down the line. Lets hope for the best….
