If you are not an Indian, then you would love to know about this great festival which is celebrated in entire India. This is a festival of sweets, fireworks and get togethers. People worship Goddess Lakshmi and God Ganesha on this occasion and pray for good health, lots of wealth and love and prosperity among the family members. The entire sky gets filled with fireworks. People decorate their houses with candle lights and lamps (called as ‘diyas’). Some people love to play cards mainly Flash (kind of Poker) all night long on this occasion.
