If you are running Windows Vista and love the Vista style a lot, then your one more wish came true as Yahoo! Messenger for Vista is here.  But before you rush to install it, couple of things you need to know.  First most thing, this is a preview version so only some of the key functions are there but not everything. Here’s a list of what is there and what’s not.

What IS there now:

1. Vista Style interface, an entirely new thing for Yahoo! Messenger.
2. Organize conversations into tabs, or drag and drop a tab out to create a new window.
3. Drag your favorite contacts the Windows Sidebar gadget
4. Enhanced emoticons.
5. Change the color of individual IM windows.
6. Adjust the display size of your contacts with a handy slider.
7. Arrange contact list into multiple columns just by resizing your window.
8. Send instant messages to your Yahoo! and Windows Live Messenger contacts
9. Send files to friends as large as 2 GB
10. You don’t have to uninstall already running Yahoo! Messenger 8.1 or 9.0 on your Vista PC, you can continue to use it.  Messenger for Vista is installed to a different directory so you can use whichever version you want.

What is NOT there yet or MISSING:

1. Voice calls
2. Webcam
3. Games
4. Chat rooms
5. Audibles
6. IMVironments
7. Photo sharing (though you can transfer as files upto 2GB)
8. Plug-ins and lot of other useful features.

I  personally really liked it, and will definitely recommend you to use.  Nothing harms in trying, may be you will like it.  So, what are you waiting for? Download it now!
