Do you like Indian cuisine? Or would you like to have Indian Cuisine in Vegas?
That’s what me and my friends thought when we went to Vegas in this 2007 Christmas holidays. We were looking for some Indian restaurant so that we can have something veggie. Quick search led us to Tamba Indian Cuisine which was on the strip near Harley Davidson.
They say, "First impression is the last impression." It gave us an impression of creating a restaurant out of a shopping mall. But that’s OK.
After standing in line for around 1/2 an hour we got USE AND THROW plates to grab our food. The restaurant owner doesn’t believe in investing too much money for utensils, crockery and staff. Since we were with kids and didn’t want to waste our time, we grabbed our food in those PAPER PLATE AND BOWLS. There was not even enough light inside the restaurant.
The curries were just curries. We literally had to dive in to find out one or two pieces of Paneer or whatever that curry was. Somehow we grabbed a table for four and finished our food.
Now the worst part:
My friend’s 2 year old son was sleeping so we thought we will pack some rice we were leaving in the plate to feed him when he wakes up. We asked for a box and this is what the manager or whoever he was said, "Make sure it is just rice and nothing else."
That was the kind of attitude those guys have and he didn’t seem to have any shame in saying that. How can someone even say something like that? It is so shameful and disgusting.
It is said, "One happy customer might or might not bring more customers, but one angry customer will definitely stop ten others."
I think Tamba Indian Cuisine staff never heard that or they don’t care about it at all and this is how they have been directed to behave with the customers. I don’t know how long that business is going to succeed with that kind of attitude.
I don’t know about you but I will myself prefer going to Subway, Pizza Hut or Burger King if I want something veggie.
Please pass on this message to your friends if they are planning to go to Vegas.
