Couple of days back I was wondering is that possible to print my blog so that I can read it offline when I am traveling, attending a not so important meeting or any reason for that matter. Or will it be a good idea to give readers an option to convert the blog into a magazine. The other thing which I was expecting that the print should have only the posts not the sidebar content, ads and all other unnecessary things.
Today I got something like that which can help any one create a RSS or Atom feed into a sort of newspaper/magazine which you or your readers can read offline in their luxury time.
The service is provided by feedjournal. Just enter your email address and the RSS or Atom feed address. Feedjournal will send you a mail with the link to the pdf file that you can save for offline reading or just print it. That’s it…
The other thing you can do with the help of Widgetbox is that you can create a widget and embed it to your blog so that your readers will always find it easy to read your blog in their luxury time when they are even away from computer. Widgetbox even have a lot of other cool things you can put on your blog.
The only thing which I would love to change in this service is that the header of the created magazine should be same as the header of the blog. At present it shows the default image of feedJournal. I would definitely love to see my feed image there. Rest is OK for starting.
So you will also find this option now on this blog to convert Think About It into a Magazine and share it with your family and friends as an attachment. Look at the sidebar, you will find one widget saying, ‘Print this Blog’. Just click on it and it will open a pdf file in your browser. Save it or print and you are good to go with Think About It. How is that?
Here is how it will look:
