I am looking for something very simple: a desktop email-client with contacts and that’s it. Without all these addons, webbased apps and other features which I and probably 80% of the users never use. Like AppleMail… but for Win7.
Is there really nothing like that on the world anymore?

This is a pretty good list. Glad to know there are other FREE desktop email clients out there. Thunderbird’s still in my number 1 slot. ^_^

Very true, GMX mail definitely has lots of nice features that GMail lacks yet.
I checked Gowebtop too, it also looks promising.

Now i am using GMX mail,it is perfect,can challenge Gmail.

It still have other webmail base,gowebtop .(http://gowebtop.com/),it using flash application.you should try it.
