How to add Yahoo! Buzz button to Blogger Blog?

·

As you might have already heard that Yahoo! Buzz is open to public now.  It is a competitor of Digg I will say.  Because it almost do the same thing as Digg.  Only difference being, it is Yahoo! network, so you get all the benefits of your content reflecting on Yahoo!.
What does Yahoo! Buzz do?
  • It gets your content on Yahoo! network.
  • Buzz pulls in content from publisher partners across the Web.
  • Users vote for that content on Buzz and on publisher sites, which helps surface the most remarkable stories to the top of Buzz.
  • The best content may be featured on the Yahoo! homepage, potentially driving millions of clicks to your site.
How to add Yahoo! Buzz button on Blogger blog?
Now the question is how to add this to your Blogger blogs.
  1. Head over to Yahoo! Buzz to select the required button code.  What you get is the something as follow:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://d.yimg.com/ds/badge2.js" badgetype="small-votes">ARTICLEURL</script>
  2. Replace 'ARTICLEURL' with '<data:post.url/>'.  So the code you need to paste in your template will be:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://d.yimg.com/ds/badge2.js" badgetype="small-votes"><data:post.url/></script>
  3. Now expand your widget templates and look for the location you want to add this button and paste above code.
  4. Preview the changes.  You should see Yahoo! Buzz button at the required location.
  5. Save the template.  You are all set.
  6. Enjoy the benefits of Yahoo! network.
Why not start Buzzing content right from this very post?  Vote for this post if you were able to add Yahoo! Buzz in your blog easily.  A little bit of appreciation doesn't harm anyone.  ;)
