Adobe Online Services – Share, Connect, Store and Buzz with Acrobat

Adobe – A company which you may have always known because of pdf only.  Though there are many thing Adobe as a company does like Photoshop, Flash and other stuff.   But you might have never heard of Adobe Online Suite of Applications.

Today I am introducing you to the Best of the Web application suite from Adobe family.  These applications are very easy to use and provide a lot of features.

Buzzword: “Write and Collaborate Documents anywhere, anytime.”

Adobe Buzzword is a online word processor which you can use for reports, proposals, resumes or anything else you need to access online or work on with others. It is a word processor inside a browser.  With latest Google Chrome browser, it is simply another web application.
Features:

  • What you see on screen is what gets printed, font, color, spacing etc.
  • Version control – Buzzword keeps record of changes so it is easy to revert to previous version.
  • Share documents with anyone and define roles and level of access: co-author, reviewer or just reader.
  • Easily sort documents by author, date, role or file size.
  • Very intuitive and easy image placement.
  • Create flexible lists – add, delete or skip bullets or numbers in a list.
  • Easily add comments to any document.  Each reviewer will have a different color which is really a very nice feature to find who said what.

Don’t wait, sign-up today and import your documents to Buzzword.

ConnectNow:  “Meet live and share your screen with anyone.”

Adobe ConnectNow is a best solution to share ideas while sharing the screen.  It is a simple and free replacement for costly Web conferencing and online meeting applications.

Features:

  • Share screen, chat (audio and video), take notes and use whiteboard.
  • Unique meeting room URL which doesn’t change and is easy to remember.
  • Best feature – User can take control of other participant’s desktop with permission.   I have used this feature to fix my dad’s computer in India.  Real easy, no hassles.  Extremely helpful for technical support.
  • Meeting attendees don’t have to signup to attend the meeting.

Share:  “Share files while maintaining control.”

Adobe Share provide online file sharing in which you get 5GB online space for Free.  You can simply upload your files to Adobe Share and send your recipients a link instead of the whole attachment.  You can control access on a fly by adding and removing individuals from the list or people invited to view the document.  You can even embed your documents on your blog, wiki or website for people to have quick and easy access.

(View this entire post embedded here as well as an example.)

MyFiles:  “Online storage for your files.”

You can upload any of your files including Word, Excel, PDF and images but excluding audio, video, archive and exe files to Adobe Myfiles and have access to those files from anywhere.

Create PDF:  “Create 5 PDF online.”

With your Adobe account, you can convert upto 5 files to PDF by simply selecting the file from your computer and clicking Create PDF.
Definitely there are pretty cool features available from Adobe Acrobat.  My personal choice is the Buzzword and ConnectNow.  Really awesome web-based applications.
