Being a Windows Mobile user for over 3 years I am a big fan editing documents (Word, Excel and power point) on my mobile.
I had HP iPAQ h6315 earlier. Frankly speaking I still love it over iPhone except the fact that there is no light weight sexy model with Windows Mobile. And iPAQ was really a heavy model and eventually I got tired carrying it.
After buying iPhone, editing document was the first thing I missed. I might sound biased, but iPhone is just hyped, it lacks of so many basic features that even a simple mobile phone has today.
Anyway, love and grudges apart, Google being there to help us all out, there is always a good chance that you will get some work arounds for the things you miss. For example, editing spreadsheets on the go.
So friends, big guys at Google has brought a Valentine’s gift for you today. Now you can edit Spreadsheets on your iPhone and other compatible mobile devices.
….we’ve made mobile access even better by adding new capabilities with List View for spreadsheets. You can quickly view, edit, sort, and filter your spreadsheets on a variety of mobile devices including Android-powered devices like the T-Mobile G1, the iPhone and iPod touch, and the Nokia S60.

Though editing word and power point documents is still not available. But I hope that would also be coming soon.
What could be better than to try this new feature yourself? So my friend, try this out by pointing your mobile device’s browser to m.google.com/docs. And if you use Google Apps, go to docs.google.com/a/your-domain.
(Ashwin Bhai…This one is for you. Now you have even one more reason to buy an iPhone.)

Very true, but iPhone still is an amazing device.
Just to elaborate on your point, I have written a list of 30 activities iPhone can’t do but a Windows Mobile can. You may want to read it and add your views to it:
