I am sure everyone uses Online storage services like Picasa, Google Docs, Windows Live Skydrive etc. for storing photos, docs and other files etc.  There are numerous online services which let you share and store your files. But every time you want to access or upload files to these services you have to go these portal to do so.
Will not it be good if you can access or upload files to these services with the ease of moving files from one folder to other on your Desktop?  Just like you do for moving any file on your system from one folder to other.  Right…
Don’t worry, today I am going to introduce to a service which will configure your web storage services as a network drive on your desktop.  Once configured you can access, view and open all your photos, documents and other files just like they are on your computer.
The service I am talking about is Gladinet.  You need to just download the application from Gladinet, install it and follow the prompts to configure various services.  Once you have configured various services they will show up as a network drive in your windows explorer e.g. as a X, Y, Z or whatever you wanna call it.

Gladinet (currenly in beta) supports Google Docs, Picasa, Windows Live Skydrive, Zoho and Amazon S3 services.  At the same time you can access web applications as well like Zoho Docs, Adobe Photoshop etc. to open .doc, .xls and .png files etc.
In short, you can add the following services/ storage devices (as of now) to your computer for FREE:
  1. Windows Live Skydrive (25GB FREE Space for files)
  2. ADrive (50GB FREE Space for any file)
  3. Google Docs (1GB FREE Space for document files)
  4. Picasa (1GB FREE Space for photos and videos)
  5. Zoho Docs (1GB FREE Space for document files)
  6. Amazon S3 web services (Whatever space you got with this service)
  7. Thinkfree documents (1GB FREE Space for documents)
  8. And access following web applications with Gladinet: Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa, Google Docs,Snipshot and Picnik etc.

That is overall an approximately 80GB FREE Space you can add to your computer today using Gladinet.  The service plans to incorporate other web services like Humyo and Box.net as well soon.  I am sure they will find a way to configure any web storage service through Gladinet and map it as a Virtual Network Drive soon.
There are many other things you can do with Gladinet like remote access to multiple PCs, using web applications locally and do a on demand sharing.
Here are couple of screen shots to help you get started.  To know more about Gladinet and its feature please browse through various docs and Youtube videos here.

And so on…

I will strongly recommend to use this application on your Windows computers and make your life way too easy working with these services.
You may also wanna check other web services to get an UNLIMITED storage online for storing your documents, photos, videos, music and other files.
Hope you enjoyed this tip.
