If you have some stuff you don’t use anymore, but you don’t want to throw it away too. You can try the new service Listia.
Listia in short is an eBay for FREE stuff.
You list the items on Listia same as you would do on eBay. Once listed people will start bidding on your item.
Users don’t bid cash for items, rather they bid points that they get for free for signing up, listing items and referring friends. That means the winner is the person who wanted the item the most and was willing to bid the most points. The lister doesn’t have to deal with a lot of emails, and the no-show risk is minimized.
People receive credits/points when they sign up, and get more when they give things away. You may even buy points for cash.
The winner of an item “auction” receives the rights to pick it up from you for free (or arrange shipping).
Just so you know, sign-up is even easier if you have a Facebook account as Listia uses Facebook Connect too. So you don’t need to remember another account details.
If you have some old DVDs, video games, cassettes, books, computer or even TV, you may want to give Listia a try. And let us know in comments how did you like it.
