Installation:

  1. Download the installation file from Hulu Labs.
  2. Install by double-clicking the install and following on-screen prompts. (It might prompt you to download the latest Flash to work properly.)
  3. If you are registered, then login to manage you queue.  If not, you don’t need to.
  4. Search for any movie or TV serial to watch.
  5. Relax and watch.  Use your Apple, Media Center or any other infrared remote to control the navigation.

Edit (10/19/09): One of the readers asked if it was possible to integrate Hulu Desktop with Windows Media Center.  I am happy to tell you that, it is. :)   To integrate Hulu with Windows Media Center, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you have installed Hulu Desktop as mentioned above.
  2. Quit Windows Media Center if it is running.
  3. Download HuluDesktopIntegrationSetup.msi file.
  4. Double-click to install this file into the default directory.
  5. Start Windows Media Center, you should see Hulu Desktop as shown below.

Please note that when clicking on Hulu in Windows 7 Media Center, the software automatically closes Windows Media Center and starts Hulu Desktop Maximized in full screen. When you are done with Hulu Desktop, click on Exit in the main menu, the software will automatically start Windows Media Center back up in full screen mode.
