Monthly Recap – October 2009

First of all, Happy Halloween to all Knowliz readers and visitors.

As you might have noticed, Knowliz went through some changes in October. I migrated Knowliz from Blogger to self-hosted WordPress platform, changed the theme and layout of the posts along with some other changes.

Theme selection was not an easy task and that’s why you might have noticed that the theme was changed several times during the migration.  Finally I got a decent looking, feature rich theme - Mainstream from WooThemes.  This is the theme you are reading Knowliz at the moment.  I must say, I am really happy with it so far.  But I would appreciate your feedback on the same.

Once you visit Knowliz.com, you may just vote “I like it”, “I didn’t like it” so that I can decide whether to keep it or change it.  You may leave a comment too if you want.

    Anurag: I am regular reader of your blog and I comment on your posts. Since you have asked comment on your blog, I feel a different colour for the background would be better. (I would suggest some shades of red as in BBC news website. But it is upto you).

    The space for sponsors where you have 125×125 ad, you should populate that space with chitika ad with a link available to advertise.

    Have a look at my Management Accountant Blog http://www.managementaccountant.in which is hosted on blogger and http://iwaant.com hosted on Word Press Theme. Both are running on the same theme Just News.

    I will look into the suggestions you have provided. For the background, I will say that the current theme doesn't provide any other better background that I would like to keep on this blog. The next best bet I have is to make everything Gray..which is the max I can go, if other people also complain about this color.
    I have been planning to use Chitika earlier, but didn't see much benefit using it. So I discontinued using it. I will give it another try now.
    You too have great blogs and I must say that you have been very consistent in updating your blogs. Keep up the good work.
    Let me know if you have any other suggestion.
