Bambuser in the race for the best Live Streaming App for iPhone 3G
Bambuser, a Sweden based Live Streaming service, has their iPhone App approved. The app is available for anyone with an iPhone 3G or 3GS alike. Bambuser is a startup in the increasingly crowded market of Live Streaming services, competing against Ustream and qik.
You will be surprised that Bambuser works seamlessly on an iPhone 3G considering the fact that 3G phones doesn’t have video recording capability. Though I have been using qik for almost a year on my jailbroken iPhone. So looks like Apple is convinced by the fact that any iPhone has video recording capability and that’s why approved this app finally.

Another similar app which was approved recently by Apple is Ustream Live Broadcaster (iTunes Link). This app also used to work earlier on jailbroken iPhone 3G but now is officially available from iTunes Store.

I guess iPhone 3G users may not need to jailbreak their phones if the only thing they wanted was the live broadcasting apps from qik and Flixwagon. Because now they are officially available from iTunes. However qik live broadcasting app is still in the process of being approved by Apple which should be in the iTunes store soon. Qik iPhone app called Qik Live is now available in iTunes Store. (iTunes Link)
After initial account setup, you can add your other social profiles like Twitter, Facebook and Youtube etc. so that your live videos are uploaded and shared on all these linked services automatically as soon as you go live.
My fellow iPhone friends, if you want to live stream from your iPhone 3G’s and 3GS’s, then give Bambuser (iTunes Link) or Ustream broadcaster a try. You have no reason to buy an iPhone 3GS also just because of video recording capability. Check out our guide to live streaming apps for iPhone.
Try these two apps and let us know which one you liked most and what are your experiences with live streaming apps on iPhone? What did you use them for? Don’t forget to share this article with your friends…

Tried them all and I think Qik is the best. Smoothest and best quality of them all. Best fps. Also best UI IMO.
You are probably right. I too second your thought on qik being the best of all. I just wish they have web recorder too just like others have.
What do you say?
