I don’t know about you but I have been waiting for a native iPhone app for Google Voice.  Because I am a fan of this service since the very beginning when it wasn’t even Google Voice.  It was GrandCentral.   Google Voice iPhone app was rejected by Apple and/or AT&T for whatever weird reason.  But that didn’t stop Google from providing users the ability to use Google Voice on iPhone.

With the help of HTML5 technology, Google has built and updated its Google Mobile App to provide a streamlined version of Google Voice as a webapp.  So just launch Safari on your browser and point it to m.google.com/voice to access Google Voice on your iPhone.

In addition to letting you access a streamlined version of your Google Voice inbox, the new web app also lets you display your Google Voice number as the outbound caller ID (so return calls come back to your Google Voice number), send and receive text messages for free, and place international calls at Google Voice’s low rates.

Don’t forget to create a shortcut or bookmark on your Home screen for quick access to Google Voice.  Check it out yourself….Here is the video to show how it works (link):

Apple and AT&T….so here it is Google Voice for iPhone.  Do what you want to do…I guess you can’t do anything now.  Can you..???
