Apple iPad, Amazon Kindle, B&N Nook, Sony reader, Microsoft Reader and so on and so forth…. lots of devices to choose from and that too just to read ebooks. As you can guess, since there are these many devices, there are obviously even more formats some of them support. As usual, not all of them support all the formats and that’s why you need something that can convert your ebooks from one format to other.
Reason : You may just want to read them on two different devices, but don’t and shouldn’t actually pay twice for the same book. That’s why today I am going to introduce you to a very cool software, called “CALIBRE”.
CALIBRE is the one stop solution for all your e-book needs. It creates an e-book library for easy e-book management, provides an interface where you can download news from other sites and have them downloaded automatically at a specified time. You can also sync and convert your existing e-books between various devices like iPhone, iPad, Kindle, Nook etc with computer.
So you don’t have to buy the same book multiple times or just stick to one device to read that specific book. Surprisingly, you can also download entire blog or website content between two dates and have it converted into a PDF for offline reading. The best feature is that you can download news from almost any news website.
Go, check it out, you will be surprised to see what it can do for you and how it can reduce the nuissance with all the e-books you have in your library.
TIP:
Ubuntu/Linux users can find it in their Software center, but the tool is available for Windows and Mac too for FREE.
Let us know in comments if you use some other technique to achieve that or if you have used and heard about this tool. What are your suggestions and comments about this?

I’ve been using Calibre for a few months and I must say that it is an absolutely fantastic software. I got the iPad a week ago and used Calibre to convert various open source e-books to the ePub format, which can be viewed by the iBooks application. I’m amazed that the author of Calibre is offering this program for free.
