Remember a while back I told you how you can use your phone (landline or mobile) to create podcasts.  There are many services now a day that let you record or upload a mp3 file with your update to share it on Twitter and Facebook etc.  (If you want to know about these services, please read my previous post - 8 FREE iPhone Apps to create Podcasts).

iPadio is one of the services I mentioned in that article.  Today we are going in detail for iPadio to explain how we can use it to update our Facebook and Twitter status or even update any or all of our blog at Posterous, WordPress etc.

Obviously, the very first thing you need is a phone. Landline, Android or iPhone, doesn’t matter.  iPadio has apps for both iPhone and Android OS.  Now once you have app on your favorite phone, just create an account and get started with iPadio.

iPadio app for Android or iOS lets you live phonecast or record and publish from your phone. Add photos, title, tags, description and geo-location or automatically generate the text using SpinVox. Embed on your site or share via social media & blogs. Listen to other people’s calls.

Broadcast, record, playback and share audio of up to 60 minutes in length with a short URL to Twitter and Facebook.  You can manually update the status or have iPadio do it by itself wherever you broadcast something on your channel. Something like: http://ipad.io/LLn

Now you don’t have to limit yourself to 140 character on Twitter.  Share whatever comes to your mind with iPadio.  Just open the app on your Android or iPhone, push “Live Phonecast” or “Record and Publish” and start speaking your thought.  Once done, click upload and finish.  iPadio will do the rest to publish it on Twitter and Facebook etc. depending on your settings.

If you prefer to record offline instead of going live, then you can record your thoughts using any voice recording app and then upload the mp3 file to iPadio too.  (iPadio currently doesn’t support web recording.)

iPadio currently supports auto update to Twitter, Facebook, Posterous, Blogger, WordPress.com and Livejournal (if you still use it).  You need to just setup each service once to enable auto status update.
