When I was studying in India, most of my friends wanted to go to States for higher studies.  Some of the best colleges to get a Masters or an MBA in the world are still in States, but the standard of colleges in America has fallen down ever since.  Recent studies have shown that only 50% of the college students NEVER graduate and with economic downturn, more and more companies have reduced hiring fresh college graduates.  Also the current starting salary for a fresh graduate has dropped to $48,515.
