Till date some of the android phones didn’t have the capability to tune in to a FM radio. But the latest entry to android marketplace makes it possible with a free app. Tune-in radio is a free service provided by RadioTime, Inc.  You can create an account online to create a Preset list of radio channels you want to listen to and to search the directory online.

The interface of the Tune-in App is really beautiful and intuitive. The basic features of this free app are as follows:

  • Listen live to your favorite radio stations (only those who allow streaming)
  • Find new radio channels on local, global and Internet radio.
  • Find your faves with over 40,000 channels of music, sports, news, podcasts and national networks like BBC, NPR, SWR.
  • Your account at RadioTime and on Tune-in App are seamlessly synced.  So the stations added online as Preset appear automatically within the app.  (Make sure you login to RadioTime within the app.)


This app has got really good user rating and I personally have been using it for couple of days.  Best thing is that I can listen to some Indian radio stations like Radio Mirchi and all.  So use it for some days and I am sure you are gonna love it.  Because Tune-in is not yet another music app in Android Marketplace.  But yeah, when you are here, let me know what other music apps do you use on your Android.
