Recently I stumbled upon a really interesting article about iPhone and Android.  The article explains step by step process to install Android on iPhone.

Now you would think why would anyone want to install Android on iPhone.  So let me tell you that this is a little geeky thing, I guess.  But if you want to enjoy the best of both worlds, then go ahead and try these simple tips.

All you need is a jailbroken iPhone with Cydia installed on it.  Once you follow all the mentioned steps you will have a dual boot iPhone which you can choose to boot into iOS or Android.  Click on the link for complete details, but the outlines are:

  1. Jailbreak your iPhone if it’s not already.
  2. Install Bootlace from Cydia.
  3. Run Bootlace and patch the kernel.
  4. Install OpeniBoot after rebooting your iPhone.
  5. Install iDroid.  iDroid is basically Android OS customized for iOS.
  6. Reboot iPhone and start playing with Android.  That’s it.
