If you have an Acer ICONIA Tab A500, then you should be happy to know that an Android 3.2 OTA update is being rolled out to all users.  If you didn’t see it yet, then make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi network and hit the System Update to check for update. The resulting screen will look something like this:

It was reported on Twitter as soon as it hit my tablet, so if you didn’t see it yet, check it now.  The System update 7.006.01 is huge (357.12MB), so make sure you are connected to a proper network and plugged-in, else it may not download properly or may take a long time.

The Android 3.2 update brings the ability to scale apps made for smaller screens to take up the entire 10.1-inch screen of the A500. The zoom feature uses pixel scaling. The apps will also speed the tablet overall and allow the synchronizing of media from the SD card.  I will also update this post as I get some official changelog from Acer.  Till then…hit the system update and install Android 3.2 on your loving Acer A500 tablet.

After update, check the settings – About Tablet, the page would look like this:

Enjoy…
