Knowliz collects visitor statistics using Statcounter and who.amung.us and Google Analytics. These statistics are collected purely to identify the number of visitors to this web site, from where they arrived to Knowliz, what they looked at and how long they spent browsing, from what geographical location they came from etc.. These statistics doesn’t capture any personal information.

I use Google Adsense and Commission Junction to serve ads when you visit Knowliz. These companies may use cookies to get information (excluding name, address, email address, or telephone number) like IP address, location, browser, operating system etc about your visits in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services to you. You can choose to disable or selectively turn off third-party cookies in your browser settings.

If you find any advertisement not relevant or abusive in any manner, please feel free to complain about it. I will work with the advertising agency to get that ad removed from the system.

Comments Policy:

I don’t assume responsibility over the comments made on this blog. While the comments are welcome from anybody, I reserve the right to remove any comment that is not deemed suitable for publication. I use DISQUS comment system to provide various add-ons like Facebook Connect, Twitter and OpenID facility to make sure anyone can leave comments easily with their preferred login method. You may even use just your name and email to leave comment.

Spam in any form will not be accepted. The user will be banned and the comment will be reported as spam and removed. If you find any other comment inappropriate, you may chose to report it too.

What do I get from Knowliz:

Blogging is my passion and Knowliz provides me that personal satisfaction of doing something on my own.  Knowliz gave me an opportunity to share my technical expertise with the world so that I can share my experience as I learn something new.  It provides me immense pleasure reading visitors views and feedback as comments on various posts.

I do make money using various ad service like Google Adsense and Commission Junction.  Various other affiliates and product services provide me samples or FREE licensed copy of their software for review purpose.  I sometimes share those promotion licenses and early invites with Knowliz readers.  Earning money is definitely not the motto of this blog.

Apart from personal satisfaction and some money, Knowliz also gives my opinion a voice to share with larger audience.  It makes me want to learn more and more about technology advancements and eventually share with Knowliz audience.

How much it cost to maintain Knowliz?

I am self-hosting Knowliz on Bluehost using Wordpress platform.  Hosting, advertising, blog themes, design and other promotional activities are the costs associated with Knowliz.  I plan on investing more on advertising and professional blog design.  Time to time I also spend money in promotional activities like contests and random prizes which are distributed to Knowliz visitors and subscribers.

Besides money, Knowliz takes tremendous time from my personal life that I steal from my beautiful wife, Shipra and daughter, Aashka. To provide Knowliz readers the most relevant technical updates, I steal some of my sleep by staying up late or waking up early. Generally I sleep at around 1:00am in night and wake up early at 6:30am or so.  I have a full time job where I work on entirely different technology while working for a Fortune 50 client.

But gaining a confidence of over 600 RSS subscribers, many fans on Facebook and 100s of followers on Twitter give me satisfaction that the time I spent in creating content for Knowliz is really worth the effort.
